When it comes to staying on top of markets, I keep things sharp with two go-to news sources. The Economist gives me that global perspective with thoughtful analysis and big-picture context. Bloomberg, on the other hand, keeps me plugged into the real-time pulse of the financial world with sharp headlines and deep dives into market movers

One of the world’s most respected weekly publications, founded in London in 1843. Known for its crisp writing, dry wit, and clear point of view, it covers global current affairs, business, finance, science, and technology. A favorite in my daily routine. I usually start my day with their World in Brief, it distills the biggest news stories from around the globe into bite-sized, easily digestible paragraphs. It’s a quick way to get context on what’s happening worldwide before the markets open.

Their Weekly Edition is fantastic too. The layout is clear and well-structured, covering global politics, economics, business, and more with thoughtful commentary, charts, and data to back it up. Each section is meticulously researched, so you always come away with a deeper understanding of the trends shaping the world. If you want to stay informed and think critically about what’s happening, The Economist is a must-read.

A leading global financial news and data company, founded in 1981 by Michael Bloomberg. It’s best known for its real-time market data, analytics, and sharp business reporting. One of my go-to sources for staying plugged in. One feature I really value is the ability to tailor news alerts to your interests, so you never miss what matters most. Plus, you can easily toggle between regions — whether it’s the US, UK, Canada, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, or Africa — to get the most relevant stories wherever you are.

Another great perk is Bloomberg Businessweek, which comes out monthly with in-depth stories on everything from global markets and policy to technology and big-picture trends. It’s a great way to dig deeper and stay well read beyond the daily headlines. If you want reliable, timely, and truly global market insight, Bloomberg is hard to beat.
